Bio

Born into a family of musicians in Romania, Angela Hinz-Marica began playing the piano at the age of seven. Although she loved the classical composers, she found more joy in improvising freely at the piano - a skill that will later prove to be invaluable in her career.
After moving abroad to study classical piano performance in France and Germany, Angela earned her Master of Music degree from the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf. Shortly thereafter, she began experimenting with electronic music and composition, stepping away from the classical traditions in which she had been trained.
To deepen her understanding of film composition, Angela completed advanced studies in Film Scoring and Production at the Musicube Academy in Bonn. With this solid foundation, she began composing for films and video games.
Her debut project, Wingman: An X-Wing Story, a Star Wars fan film directed by Michael Koepff and composed together with Subhang Narasimhan, won the Best Score Award at Ireland's "Fourth of May Film Festival" in May 2024
Since then, Angela has continued to compose for video games, including the upcoming Willow's Descent: Into the Under, which is set to release on Steam in December 2024.
Angela lives in Düsseldorf, Germany, with her husband and two children.
